Shutter Dimensions

The height of your shutters will depend upon the height of your window.  Each pair of shutters will be created to fit your exact window size.  When measuring your window to determine the height of your shutters, we advise measuring from the top of the window trim to the bottom of the window trim.  Ament Shutters builds our shutters with a standard width of 14 ½ inches.  If you choose to have a ½ inch vertical spacer between your shutter boards (please see examples of the vertical spacer on the “Cutout Designs” page), the standard shutter width is 15 inches.  We will gladly cater to building shutters with custom widths if you request a change from the standard width.
